Tony gave completely of himself to his work, his friends and family. His complete dedication to his job and his responsibilities may have contributed to his early death. Tony was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran before receiving a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwood University. He was the owner of Maverick Painting and Home Repair. Tony had a big laugh and a love for life and was always known to have a joke up his sleeve for every occasion. He loved life and lived it to the fullest and was loved by all who knew him.
God truly blessed all of us by allowing Tony to share his life with us, even for such a short time.
Tony has gone to be with his friends and family he loved and lost, including his mother, Marie Chapman; his grandparents, Paul and Goldie Chaney; his sister, Denise Mitchell; his grandmother, Helen McCullough; his father-in-law, Tommy Baker; and his good friend, George Ryder. He will also be with the family and friends of those he loved, whom he never got to meet in this life.
Survivors: Tony is survived by friends and family who loved him dearly. Among those who will miss him most are his father and stepmother, Clarence and Barbara Chapman; his brothers, Randy Joe and Roger Chapman; his son, Dustin Chapman; his soulmate, Cheryl Chapman; his second father, Jim Harrod; his closest friend and other brother, Doug Mitchell; and his nieces, Heather and Emily Mitchell.

To Tony's Family: My husband and I were customer's of Tony's. He told us that he did business the old-fashioned way, with quality and painstaking workmanship--and he did. I can still see him laughing and joking around with my husband--such a great zest for life! We talked of his future plans to become a homebuilder, focusing on quality workmanship. We admired not only his work ethic, but the man as well.
